The Shropshire hills was one of the first areas in England to be designated has an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The hills and surrounding countryside are one of the most rural areas of England and are ideal for that “get away from it all”, holiday and there is trout fishing and golf within a few miles and bike hire is available locally.

There are many unspoilt villages, many of which can be accessed via the Shropshire Way footpath network which passes only five hundred metres from Tanglewood.

Situated midway between the historic market town of Ludlow and Church Stretton, Craven Arms is ideally located for easy access to many other parts of The Heart of England and many National Trust properties such as the 6000 acre Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley (at Church Stretton), Powis Castle and Attingham Park are under an hours drive away, as is the world heritage site at Ironbridge Gorge Museums.Stokesay Castle close to Tanglewood Farm Cottages
